Idiopathic Adolescent Acute Neurodegeneration, or IAAN, was coined when the first psi appeared in the United States. Supposedly it was an airborn disease, but really it was because a lot of psi were going from their blank state to any of the five main abilities. 98% of the United State's of America's children between the age of 8 and 14 died. Since no one knew that Agent Ambrosia was the cause behind the rapid deaths, IAAN was coined.
IAAN was known to have very few symptoms. However, parents received a flyer which advised them to report their children to the government immediately, if they were experiencing any of the following symptoms: sullenness, difficulty in concentrating, becoming hyper-focused on tasks, hallucinations, vomiting, chronic migraines, memory loss, fainting spells, violent outbursts, unusual reckless behaviour, or self-injury.
