Lana is a former Blue Star member who managed to get out of the organization.
Early Life[]
Lana would grow up with her brother, Roman Volkov, in Ukraine. When her mother was at work, she and Roman would be kidnapped and would be taken to an orphanage in Ukraine. Lana and Roman would be bought by Gregory Mercer, who was a large crime boss.
When the rehabilitation camps fell and the world would become aware of the fact that Agent Ambrosia was the cause behind the psi race powers, Gregory would join forces with Jonathan Wendall and start a cascade of experiments on non-psi children.
Lana nearly died during the experiment programs, but she would pull through and would become a limit, which meant she could temporarily block another psi's use of their own powers. She would get her powers much later than Priyanka Acharya, Roman and Max Wendall.
Mercer took Lana into his personal security unit, since her power as a limit made her critical for protection against other psi, including the other three survivors. The other three survivors made up an assassin unit for Mercer, where Max would locate the Targets, Priyanka Acharya would break through security systems, and Roman Volkov would kill the target. The three on the unit would become extremely close with one another.
One day, the three were given a target. They would have to kill a man, making it look like a burglary gone wrong. They set off. Only once they were close enough to the target, would Max figure out that the target had two children. A burglary gone wrong murder would mean killing all witnesses, including the children. Max, Roman, nor Priyanka could go through with the mission, and Max ran.
When the three ran, Gregory would turn Lana on her friends and brother and he convinced her to track the trio down.
The Darkest Legacy[]
Lana would track the group down to Haven, but she would be kicked out by the mad psi who lived at the camp. She would then track down Roman, Priyanka and Zu to an old house that had old security footage they needed. Priyanka would push her powers and would have a seizure. Lana would freakout.
Eventually Lana would join up with them again and would leave Blue Star.
Relationships[]
Priyanka: former girlfriend[]
Lana and Priyanka became close during their time with Mercer, and eventually entered a relationship. Mercer did not allow this, and forcibly kept them separated at all times. After Roman and Priyanka escaped Mercer, Lana felt betrayed and grew to hate Priyanka. Towards the end of the book, they show signs of possibly getting back together, though it is not confirmed.
Roman Volkov: brother[]
Captured and experimented on together, the siblings' bond grew so strong that Roman would give his life in order for his sister to return to normal. Roman and Priyanka search for Lana throughout The Darkest Legacy.
